England Hockey reorganised the national league in 2008 and, with effect from the 2008/09 season, Division One and the National North and National South Divisions disappeared. The England Hockey League now has only two tiers, as opposed to the previous three, with the clubs outside of the Premier Division being organised into three Conferences: North, East and West.
